CBD Vapes: The Guide for Switzerland

CBD vapes are a category of their own: no nicotine, but cannabidiol (CBD) made in Switzerland. What's behind them, and what the law says.
What's inside a CBD vape?
CBD vapes vaporise a liquid or distillate containing cannabidiol (CBD), a non-intoxicating compound of the hemp plant. The products in our range (e.g. from Sweed) typically contain 40 bis 50% CBD and are nicotine-free. The CBD and THC content is shown transparently on every product page.
The legal situation in Switzerland
CBD products are legal in Switzerland as long as the THC content stays below 1%, one of the most liberal rules in Europe. The CBD vapes in our shop are well below that (shown e.g. at 0.95%). Important:
- The 18+ rule still applies: e-cigarettes fall under the Tobacco Products Act regardless of their content, sale only from age 18.
- Not while driving: even legal CBD products can contain traces of THC. If you drive, you should avoid vaping CBD, for THC, road traffic rules effectively mean zero tolerance.
- Don't take it abroad: the Swiss 1% limit only applies in Switzerland. In the EU the threshold is lower (0.3% or stricter). CBD vapes don't belong in your luggage.

What to look for when buying
- Declared CBD and THC content, in the specifications of each product on our site.
- Swiss origin of the distillate, short supply chains, clear standards.
- Pod or disposable format: CBD comes as a disposable vape and as a pod system (e.g. Sweed CBD Vape Kit + pods), the same disposable-vs-rechargeable trade-off as with nicotine vapes.
