E-cigarettes in Switzerland: the rules
Since October 2024 the Tobacco Products Act governs the sale of e-cigarettes across Switzerland. They may only be sold to people aged 18 and over, online too and even for nicotine-free models. That is why iVape checks the date of birth on every order. Liquids may contain at most 20 mg/ml nicotine, and every pack carries a health warning.
Parliament has also decided to ban the sale of disposable vapes. No date for it to take effect has been set yet. If you want to switch to a device you keep today, a pod system is a good choice: the battery stays, only the pod is replaced.
