Vaping at Festivals and Open Airs: Well Prepared for Summer

Open air, town festival or a long weekend on the festival grounds: three days without a power socket are no problem if you think ahead a little. The biggest nuisance at a festival isn't the weather, but a flat vape on the second evening. Here's how to get through it without stress.

Power is the main problem

At the campsite there is rarely a reliable way to charge. If you rely on a rechargeable vape, plan for power too:

• Bring a powerbank, fully charged. A medium-sized one is enough for several charging cycles.
• Don't charge unattended overnight, and certainly not in a hot tent. Better during the day, when you're around.
• Pack spare pods, so you don't end up without flavour in the middle of a set.

The disposable vape as a backup

This is exactly where a disposable vape plays to its strength. No charging, no refilling, just vape until it's empty. As a reserve for when the powerbank gives out, it's ideal. Follow the rules on site

What applies on the grounds is decided by the organiser under their house rules. In marquees and covered areas vaping is often banned, in the open air it's usually allowed. Watch for the signs at the entrance and in the tents.

1. Indoors (stage tent, catering area), better not to vape.
2. In dense crowds be considerate: not everyone appreciates the cloud right in their face.
3. 18+: selling and handing over to minors is off limits, and this is also checked at many events.
